Relaxing Saturday

Hi there! greetings from my cozy little corner of Room C244! I'm enjoying a nice quiet, lazy day after what felt like quite a busy one yesterday. the days seem to go by so quickly, and I'm not really doing much of anything. Last night at bed time I was so exhausted that I couldn't think at all. I couldn't figure out what to do. All I could think of was my mother's advice to go to bed and everything will look beteer in the morning.

I just sat on the edge of the bed and cried and rang the buzzer for help getting with getting ready for bed. I was concerned about being so confused - thinking maybe the tumors are still growing and making my confusion worse.

Well , as usual, a good night of sleep worked wonders! I checked into the possibility of taking a shower despite the IV tubing. No problem! wow! Showered, washed my hair! what a treat! I felt like a new person! and while I was free of the IV pole I sorted my stuff and cleaned.up my corner all ready for company. Gerard and deacon Suzanne rode in together and we had a good little visit together. Later I wandered down to the gift shop area and sat with another patient who was also down there for a change of scene.

And for the rest I,ve been lazing around, daydreaming, just living in what the nurse calls "chemo fog" and the relaxing effect of some of the medications and enjoyng my cozy little corner.
