No Obvious Effects of Chemo Yet

So today was my first full chemo treatment and everything still feels like it did before. Last night they started an IV drip to make sure I was really hydrated and ready for the chemo. Then throughout the day they added various bags of chemo and other oral medications.I had to stay in my room so they would know where to
find me in case anything happened. But nothing unusual yet, I keep wondering whether I'll get nauseous or cold or something but nothing so far. Maybe tomorrow? I do hope and pray that something is happening to the cancer cells in there! I hope there is a big arrest of cancer cells going on in there or even a miraculous defeat! After this chemo was done today I could go wherever I wanted so I was able to join the rest of the family at the food court. That felt pretty "normal" except for the IV pole, the housecoat and the crocs! o well, keeps me humble!

The chemotherapy treatment has just started! All the tubes are hooked up, the chemotherapy is flowing, and the battle is on!

I had expected to feel really creeped out and scared at the idea of all this toxic stuff flowing into my body. The nurses wear special protective gear as they administer the chemo, they dispose of the tubing and wrapping into a special toxic waste unit and we're asked to flush the toilet at least twice because our waste is also toxic! but instead, I'm excited! the battle is on! Go get those cancer cells! Yay, chemo! joined the rest of the family at the food court.
