It's so good to be back home! Had a great sleep and, except for getting up for breakfast, spent the first half of the morning in bed because there I felt fine , but when I got up my head hurt, I think from the spinal chemo treatment on Monday. Once the headache went away I was in and out of bed for the rest of the day. It was great to walk around the yard to see how much growth there has been during the week I spent in the hospital. Look at the anemones

and the crocuses in full bloom in the front yard.

And around the back of the house it still looks like winter
When I got home last night Gerard had a new Jiffy Pot waiting for me - tomatoes this time.

So I started it up this afternoon and will be checking every hour for signs of growth:) If just the number of times I check determines how fast the seeds germinate and start growing they'll be up in no time!
Then this afternoon a friend/fellow church member brought this plant which is set in water beads. They hold so much water that you don't have to water the plant fror 7 to 9 weeks! I'd never heard of them before, but googled "water beads" and found out lots of interesting facts about them.

It's really great being home and hopefully life will start to settle down again. No more steroid pills. I had the last one two days ago. And after today no more chemo pills until my next chemo session which is scheduled to start on April 20. So hopefully I won't have to deal with the effects of all these drugs for awhile. I'm really having trouble with fixing up this post tonight (chemo fog?), and in transferring it from my I-pad I lost some of the text, so I'll try to figure it out tomorrow. Goodnight!

Morning Ellie
At last - now I know it is tomatoes! Love the plant in the coloured beads. May the next few weeks bring you even more love and healing.
Blessings Lorraine S&D
Hi Ellie,
So glad to hear that you're home again! I really appreciate your blog posts! We recently saw those 'water beads' at a home show we went to. They're really cool. I'll call you soon.
Love,
Irene
