Jeannette is part of a knitting group at her church. As they knit healing shawls together, they pray together for the recipients of the shawls. This time Jeannette chose to knit a healing shawl for me!
I knew she was working on this for me, and on Thursday she came over and wrapped me in this beautiful shawl. It will be perfect to wear over my (required) hospital gowns during upcoming chemo rounds! And the colour is beautiful! - predominantly a denim coloured yarn which looks alive like water with faint hues of pink, blue, purple, navy... I love it! And it's machine washable and dryable, so perfect for the hospital!
And being the artist she is, of course made her own card too! And I, being not an artist like her, get so inspired about life by people like her.
Thank you, Lord, for friends! How could I ever have felt like I had no friends?! What was I thinking? Since I found out I have cancer I have found out how many, many really true friends I have and always had! He's now opened my eyes to realize and appreciate you all every day.
