Just to keep my life even a little more exciting... the other day a police officer rang the door bell asking for me and handed me a "Subpoena to a Witness" to serve as a witness in court in May, relating to a disturbance on our street last fall, that I had reported to police.
I knew I had recorded notes about the whole incident at the time, but where were they? That triggered a search which led to sorting all kinds of folders and papers around my desk. I found the notes! And also spent many hours at the dining room table sorting all kinds of work, health and benefit records and papers. And I was able to do it!
It felt so-o-o good to be able to do this! I was starting to feel normal! My brain was connecting things! And I lo-o-o-o-o-ve!! this detailed administrative kind of work! In the process I found recipes in my benefits folder - so things have not been connecting for a while already.
On Tuesday Gerard and I went to the mission office to fill in forms for EI, Long-term disability, etc. and needed lots of information for all those forms and questionnaires, and I had it all organized and available and ready to go! Wow! that felt good! There were a few times when we needed a date and I knew I had it and didn't know quite where to find it and then all of a sudden my brain kind of froze and I got frantic which really shocked me, but after taking some down time and going for a good walk with Gerard it all settled down again and was fine. So I still experience those things and can tell that not everything is normal, but overall, I'm very excited that I was able to sort and organize and enjoy all that clean-up!
