Chemo Still Doing It's Job

Just a quick update to let you know that Friday the oncologist told us that the tumors are still shrinking, so that's good news!

I'm doing very well, physically - lots of energy, relatively speaking.  However, my emotions have been up and down a lot, especially down.  I'm wondering whether I'm experiencing a bit of depression.  Will see if I can talk to someone about that this week.  I feel bad for Gerard.  I get all the attention and he has to deal with me and my illness all the time.

This week I go back to the hospital for the fourth (out of 6) round of chemo.  They've requested a bed for Tuesday, but the nurse thought one would more likely become availble on Wednesday because this is a long weekend.

This will probably be the last round to include the spinal infusions of chemo.  I've asked for the same doctor to do the infusions as last time when things went well, without complications and a quick recovery.  They will put in a request for him to do it.   Hopefully he will be available during my stay!

In a few hours we are heading to the airport to meet Alida!  (6:30 pm Sun.)  She's moving back to Canada, Toronto to be more exact, and will be starting out at our house until she finds shared accomodations and a job.

Well, have to get going now.  Will update later.

Hi Ellie
Have just caught up with everything - hope that Alida got home safely and enjoying having her with you. I just love all your pictures of the garden and am so looking forward to seeing the next chemo plantation to spring up.
In my prayers as always
