How Does My Garden Grow?

Day 2 - Well, I've already checked my little jiffy pots about six times. The seeds are swelling. I wonder how long it will be before they start sprouting. But I'm already arguing with myself whether I should keep following the instructions. I really think that keeping the plastic lid on the trays is going to make it so damp in there that mold will grow on the soil and the plants. They also say not to put the trays in the direct sun, but I expect that's going to give me spindly, scrawny, weak plants. Outside seedlings get lots of air circulation and direct sun, and they grow just fine. I'm so tempted to at least open the lids just a little bit to provide some air circulation. How long can I manage to do as the instructions say, or go ahead and do my own thing?
